WeaveCast Listener Donations

Did you know that WeaveCast is 85% listener supported? That means that generous individuals like yourself donated funds to pay for podcast essentials such as:

  • Server hosting (at 50MB per episode, bandwidth and storage space is expensive.)
  • Domain-name registration fees
  • Travel expenses to interviews (for better than phone or skype audio quality.)
  • Equipment such as mixers and microphones
  • Audio-editing software
  • CDs for backing up interviews and archiving episodes

There is no charge for listening to WeaveCast. That's as it should be. Anyone, regardless of economic status should be able to join in all the handweaving fun and discussions.

The artists and host you hear on WeaveCast donate their talent and time, all because they—like you—love handweaving and the fiber arts. They are unpaid volunteers bringing the world of weaving to your computers and MP3 players.

But we can't bring you that wonderful content unless someone pays the bills.

If you enjoy WeaveCast and have the means, please consider a donation to help cover operating expenses. Contributions of any size are appreciated.

At this time, 100% of the funds goes to operating expenses and equipment to improve the audio quality, so we can't offer member rewards like NPR or public radio. But you will get a warm feeling knowing that you've helped bring WeaveCast to the world, and some fine weaverly karma. (And while we can't promise the latter will make your warps go on smoother . . . it just might.)
