Hi Syne,

I have recently discovered your site and the wonderful podcasts. I am just getting back into weaving after a few years away from it and am getting familiar with my 8 shaft AVL compudobby.

After listening to your podcasts I am wishing I had purchased a bigger loom and am now researching looms with many more shafts ( and maybe, even a jacquard loom). The interviews are so inspirational and it has been great to hear from weavers who I used to read about in my weaving magazines back in the 80s.

Thank you for all the work you put into the site and podcasts. Listening to them certainly makes going to the gym easier. I try to work hard at my work out so I can get home and do some more weaving or research a weaving topic!

Hi Syne,

I was going to download pod cast 39 to 41 to catch up while on the plane to the dominican.  Yes sir i get to go on a holiday where the office can not get me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  anyhow i only get where warp meets weft.  i see by other comments you have had some problems and thought i would let you know i had the same problem.  i hope i can download before i leave saturday.

I came across this site while trying to identify 2 looms I recently acquired. One has been in my family for generations, and the other I bought.

Both the title and resourses caught my eye as my daughter is working with the Jeryan's at the Henry Ford Museum. She is doing an internship for her textile major at Eastern Michigan University, identifying  patterns produced by Jacquard punch cards owned by the museum.

The interview helped me understand just a bit more about what she is doing and I can't wait to visit the village!

Thank you so much for having an episode on Alice!  I've recently started a 'Woven Pixel' adventure and thoroughly enjoyed hearing about where it began . . . I also loved hearing Richard and Chris Jeryan.  I was fortunate to go to Dearborn, MI this past March and see the Jacquard loom in person.

Incomplete podcast

Hi! I was listening to the podcast on-line. At 33 mins it ends. So, the last 11 minutes are gone. I tried twice and same thing. So, it's not a connection glitch.  Help please. I'm not downloading it since I have a fast-ish connection.

Thanks! I love your magazine and I love having a weaver come into my house and talk to me via the podcast.

I click on "Download audio file" and nothing happens. What do I need to do to get the mp3 file?

I verified that the file is on the server and clicking "Download Audio File" makes the download happen in my browser.

Have you tried right-clicking and "Save As" ?

When I right-click and "Save As", which I always do for this and other podcasts, the WeaveCast mp3 file that downloads is only 13 seconds long. I tried it 3 times with the same result. This has happened with the last several episodes. So, I just come back a couple weeks later and try again, then it works fine. It's a mystery to me!

Download 50% missing

I just tried downloading the same way and half of the episode is missing.  What's happening?  I have never been able to download a complete episode.

I'm sorry for this situation.  It's an intermittant bug.  Sometimes the download works, and sometimes it doesn't.  I've filed a support ticket with my server host to find out why this is happening.  (It never happened with my old host.)

Thank you for your patience.  In the meantime, some users with this issue have been able to get the podcast by installing iTunes and subscribing from there.

I just ordered an upgrade to my hosting account that (they assure me) will fix the problems with downloads and audio streaming.

The update to the new, bigger server account is complete.  If you were having trouble downloading the MP3 files before, could you please try again and check whether this has been fixed?

Hi, im trying to download the podcasts but they refuse to work, when i click 'download audio file' it just goes to an 'internet explorer cannot find this page' or something along those lines, and when i click 'save target as' it only downloads about 5 seconds worth of the beginning, saying just weavecast with Syne Mitchell.
