I'm not a weaver, but have a general love of textiles, so I'm hoping to go through most of your podcasts. There is so much info packed into them! This episdoe was fabulous -- so much history -- I'm definitely going to look for some of her books. I had no idea about 1)the long apprenticeships and 2) the traveling bit. Boy, do we have it good these days.

And finishing .... "weaving" in ends, even in knitting, or finishing off quiting knots ... always an issue LOL. Thanks for all the work that you do on the podcast and your zine!

This great blog is very interesting and enjoyable to read. I am a big fan of the subjects discussed. In general, eating out is cheap, and there are heaps of clean restaurants to choose from in the cities. You can find a local restaurant close to where you’re staying when you get there – and don’t forget to try the local dishes!

I recently joined the Sealed Knot, which is an English Civil War re-enactment society. I want to demonstrate weaving to the general public, but am not sure what kind of weaving was common for linen and wool thread at this time in England? If anyone knows, can you give me some pointers?
