2: Painted Warps

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

The April Fool's episode. I introduce the virtual WeaveCast guild, discuss a painted-warp sample swatch, interview talented fiber artist Mollie Freeman, play the soon to be classic hit "Painted Warp" as performed by Dave of Chub Creek, describe a shearing gone hilariously awry, and air a Canadian folk song performed by the group Straw Into Gold, founded by Nandine Saunders, The Singing Weaver. All the great weaving content you crave, with just a touch of whimsey...

Podcast 2 Painted Warps

 Syne,

this episode ends abruptly after 32 minutes, even though it's supposed to be 55 minutes long... : (

How frustrating, sorry about that.

Can you give me some more details about the cut-off.  For example, were you streaming the audio from the site?  Did you download the file and play it on your computer (ie: use the Download Audio File link.)  Or did you get the file from iTunes.

There are so many variables that might play into the issue you ran into that the more information you give me, the more I can help.

Thanks!

I'm not so good with the lingo, but I think I was "streaming the audio from the site" -- I just opened my browser to your podcast page, went to the webpage with the details of that podcast (the links, etc.),  and clicked on the arrow at the top, which then expanded into a bar.  The show began with your theme song and then you started talking....  And just now the same thing happened with podcast # 3, weaving with metal/mettel.  That one stopped after about 10 minutes, at the end of the sample description.  Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for your help and the very helpful shows!

Streaming Audio Stopping

Syne Mitchell's picture

I've just sent a query out to my server host about this issue.  It seems to happen intermittantly with the streaming.  Hopefully they will have an answer for me.

In the meantime, you can try clicking the "Download Audio File" link at the bottom of the page to download and save the file on your computer.  One it's on your computer, double-click it to play it.

If the issue is with the server streaming, this should solve your problem.

Let me know.  Thanks!

 ...it sounded like a good

...it sounded like a good idea, but it still stopped with the words:

"every warp that I put on...." right after you had finished describing the marvelous "wearable art" that she had made : (

..but the good news is that WeaveCast 4 plays all the way to the end and it is absolutely fantastic!  I can't get enough of it!

 However, materials used to

However, materials used to make Watches Fake are worthwhile. They do not appear inferior to the original watch either in grandeur or longevity. Longines Watches UK on the other hand belong to a category which at best can be called cheap and unworthy. They never give you your desired level of satisfaction. A Fake Rolex Watches is never an exact replacement of a designer or branded watch.

I also had some problems with the video streaming before. I needed to download the audio file, which is by the way is working just fine. Thank you for the podcast. I enjoyed listening to it.
